We are very proud that The Best To You was chosen by the Military to make the Memorial baskets for the families who lost their loved ones, our brave soldiers, in the helicopter crash in Afghanistan. Each basket of fruit, fresh cookies and chocolate was topped with a big yellow bow as they requested and delivered to the families attending the Memorial services in Coronado this past week.
Almost two thousand people attended the memorial service honoring all 31 service members killed when their Chinook helicopter was shot down August 6th in Afghanistan. The private ceremony, meant for family members and fellow service members, was closed to the public.
Twenty two of the 31 killed that day were members of the Coronado-based Naval Special Warfare branch, including 17 Navy SEALs. Most of the SEALs were assigned to SEAL team 6, that carried out the mission earlier in the year that killed Osama bin Laden.
